In Dagestan they plan to saturate meat with iodine through food

This issue was discussed at a meeting between the Prime Minister of Dagestan Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov and scientists from the Federal Agrarian Research Center.

FANZ proposed this project to the Government of the Republic, and it is now under consideration. It is proposed to feed sheep, chickens, and cows with safe feed containing organic iodine and transfer the MILK , eggs and MEAT obtained from them to children and adults in social institutions. That is, meat products enriched with the biogenic element iodine will in the future become functional products to improve the HEALTH of children and adults.

Dagestan is one of the regions where the population is iodine deficient. According to Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, this is one of the measures to solve the problem, which is being studied with doctors and scientists.

The study will be conducted with the support of the All-Russian Research Institute of Endocrinology. The effectiveness of this experiment will be appreciated by doctors and farmers.
