In the Chuvash Republic, with the participation of the Office of Rosselkhoznadzor, interdepartmental exercises were held to eliminate the focus of brucellosis

According to legend, veterinary specialists conducted a door-to-door inspection of private farms and took blood samples from cattle . According to the results of the serological study, one positive result was obtained forbrucellosis . Specialists needed to quickly identify the cause, eliminate the source of infection and prevent its spread in the region and beyond.

During the exercises, a high alert regime was introduced and an operational headquarters was convened. Veterinarians consistently imitated the order of necessary veterinary actions, the sick animal was killed and destroyed in a mobile cremator. Upon completion of liquidation activities, final disinfection was carried out. As a result of the measures taken, the conditional outbreak of brucellosis was successfully eliminated.

Based on the results of the exercises, Anton Lukin, Deputy HEAD of the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR Directorate , noted the importance and necessity of conducting interdepartmental command and staff exercises, and emphasized the coordinated work of the services that are part of the territorial subsystems of the unified state system for the prevention and response of emergency situations in achieving their goals.
