Canned meat production will begin in the Chita region thanks to a grant.

Denis Bochkarev, Minister of Agriculture of the Zabaikalsky Krai, announced that the cooperative received 20 million rubles for the reconstruction of its meat processing plant. These funds will be used to renovate and modernize the sausage production facility, as well as to establish a canned food production line.

As a result, the number of canned meat producers in Transbaikalia will increase to ten. In 2020, the region produced virtually no canned meat, but over the past five years, nine meat processing plants using local raw materials have opened in the region. Currently, there are approximately 150 slaughterhouses in Transbaikalia, and pork, beef, and horse meat , including canned meat, are supplied to social services and other regions.
