More than 2,000 animals infected with LSD had to be killed in Buryatia

Recall that five districts of the republic suffered from nodular dermatitis.

In Buryatia, payments to farmers whose livestock suffered from infectious nodular dermatitis are being completed. The total amount of funds allocated for compensation will be over 74 million rubles. The last funds will be transferred to the farms of the Ivolginsky and Mukhorshibirsky districts next week, the government of Buryatia reported.

In total, about 200 foci of the disease were registered in the republic.

In Kyakhtinsky district, 83 livestock owners, in Bichursky - 16, in Mukhorshibirsky - 96, in Tarbagataysky - 1 and in Ivolginsky district - 4. cattle, 553 small cattle, 44 pigs), the government said.
Currently, veterinarians have completed the first round of vaccination in threatened areas (more than 140,000 farm animals have been vaccinated). About 137 thousand heads were revaccinated.

In addition, in Buryatia, disinfection measures are being taken in the foci of infection, flocks and yard buildings are being processed. Work is nearing completion in the Kyakhtinsky district and disinfection is scheduled for next week in the Ivolginsky and Tarbagataysky districts.

Recall that the first cases of livestock disease in the villages of Ust-Kiran and Burduny, Kyakhtinsky district, were detected at the end of December last year. Literally in two weeks, the disease spread in four more districts of Buryatia, the liquidation of livestock began, and roadblocks were set up at the entrances to the villages. And only on January 18, specialists managed to eliminate the last outbreak of the disease in the Mukhorshibirsky district.
