As TASS was specified in the department of agriculture of the Bryansk region, at present the number of pigs in the region is more than 1 million, a year ago there were 637.8 thousand heads.
 
According to Bogomaz, 244 livestock farms have been established in the region, employing 9.5 thousand people, the average salary in the industry is more than 50 thousand rubles. "From year to year, we are increasing production through the implementation of major investment projects. Miratorg-Kursk LLC is completing the implementation of a project to create a pig breeding complex designed to operate sites for keeping pigs in Klimovsky, Pochepsky, Sevsky, Suzemsky and Trubchevsky districts," wrote head of the region.

He added that the opening of new livestock production complexes ensures the country's food security, provides employment for the population, as well as budget revenues.
