Russia may soon begin supplying pork to China

Goods produced after the date of registration of the enterprise in the Chinese system will be allowed to EXPORT. Negotiations are currently underway on the mutual recognition of veterinary certificates and certification by Russian enterprises.

In September 2023, the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of CHINA allowed the supply of pork from RUSSIA after assessing the risks and analyzing the state control system for African swine fever in the Russian Federation. In December, representatives of the State Technical Institution of the People's Republic of China visited Russia to familiarize themselves with the veterinary supervision system and the activities of ROSSELKHOZNADZOR research institutes .

Russia is one of the world's largest pork producers, and China is the world's largest pork importer. Opening the Chinese market to Russian pork could have a positive impact on the Russian economy and help increase food exports .
