Thirty-six cases of illegal transportation of farm animals have been identified in the Astrakhan region.

The most common violations included the lack of mandatory quarantine before shipping animals and the absence of accompanying veterinary documents. Between March 21 and April 4, 2025, vehicles traveling from the Akhtubinsky District to Astrakhan were detained during raids, carrying 18 HEAD of cattle without the required veterinary documents. The animal owners were ordered to quarantine and implement mandatory preventative measures. Information about the violations was forwarded to the State Veterinary Service for further action. Efforts to prevent violations of veterinary legislation will continue.
