In 2020, 1.8 billion rubles were allocated to support Kirov agricultural producers

The Ministry of Finance of the Kirov Region has summed up the results of providing subsidies in 2020 to legal entities, individual entrepreneurs, individuals - producers of goods, works, services to support agricultural production. At the end of the year, state support was provided to agricultural producers at the expense of the federal and regional budgets for a total of 1.8 billion rubles. More than 260 agricultural producers of the region received funds.

A significant share of state support (54.5% of total funds) is aimed at supporting the livestock industry. At the expense of the funds provided, the construction of seven dairy complexes for 7447 cattle places in the Nemsky, Orlovsky, Slobodsky, Kotelnichsky and Kumensky districts was completed. A pig-breeding complex for 2,650 sows was put into operation in the Kirovo-Chepetsky district, two new buildings with high-tech equipment in the Sovetsky district for 145,000 laying hens each.

State support in the field of crop production has allowed agricultural producers of the region to fully provide themselves with fuels and lubricants, mineral fertilizers, to involve retired agricultural land in circulation through cultural and technical activities on an area of ​​7678 hectares.

Subsidies in the amount of 429 million rubles were provided to agricultural producers from the regional budget to reimburse part of the costs of modern agricultural machinery and equipment purchased in 2018-2019. 

As a result of state support for the development of small businesses, 12 new jobs were created. Grants were provided to three agricultural consumer cooperatives for the development of the material and technical base and for the creation and development of two family farms.

In addition, within the framework of the implementation of the regional project “Creating a Support System for Farmers and Developing Rural Cooperation in the Kirov Region”, grants were provided to Agrostartup for the creation and development of eight peasant (farm) enterprises. As a result, they created another 18 new jobs.

it should be noted that the Kirov region regularly shows good results in MILK production. As the governor of the Kirov region Igor Vasilyev noted, in terms of milk production in agricultural organizations, the region ranks third in the Volga Federal District and fifth in the Russian Federation, and second in the Volga Federal District in terms of dairy herd productivity.
