The HEAD of the State Duma Committee on HEALTH Protection, Sergei Leonov, expressed the opinion that it is necessary not only to impose fines, but also to hold the guilty parties criminally liable. Over the past two years, more than 50 producers of MEAT and dairy products have been caught using the banned additive. Leonov emphasized that transglutaminase poses a serious threat to human health, and producers who are found to have it should be subject to stricter penalties. The results of the survey show that the majority of citizens support the introduction of criminal liability for the use of such "meat glue."
