Since the registration of the first outbreak of African swine fever on July 5, the number of epizootic foci in the Pskov region has doubled: now there are eight.

The spread of the ASF virus in the Pskov region was discussed at a meeting of the regional anti-epizootic commission on Friday, July 6. A month earlier, on July 5, the first outbreak of ASF among wild boars was detected, and five days later the number of outbreaks in different areas increased to four, including at the industrial site of the Sovkhoz Shelonsky pig-breeding complex of the PskovAgroInvest holding, where 36,000 were killed. animals.

Since July 14, a regional emergency has been declared in several municipalities of the Pskov region due to the epizootic. Currently, eight epizootic foci and three infected objects are under quarantine. Everywhere, except for the PskovAgroInvest LLC site, all sanitary and preventive measures have been completed and a 30-day control period has begun. Monitoring is underway. Since the beginning of July, more than 1.3 thousand samples for ASF have been sent for laboratory testing.
