Ulyanovskstat published data on the production of the main types of livestock products in farms of all categories of the Ulyanovsk region. According to official statistics, compared to 2019, the rate of procurement of livestock and poultry MEAT increased by 1.7%, and MILK of all types increased by 3.9%. According to operational data for January-April, on average, 2021 kg of milk was produced from one cow. This figure is 94 kg higher than last year's level. The productivity of cows has increased in nine districts, where on average more than three tons of milk is produced per cow.
A drop in production was noted in poultry farms: the production of eggs decreased by 1.4%. So, if in 2019 Ulyanovsk producers produced a total of 192.6 million eggs, then in 2020 - 189.9 million. This is the lowest figure in the last five years. The main share of production is produced by personal subsidiary farms (more than 60 percent), the rest is accounted for by agricultural organizations (37.6%) and peasant (farm) farms.
In the four months of 2021, 2.9 million chicken eggs were produced. Compared to the same period last year, the volume of production decreased by 6.2%, compared to January-April 2019 - by 41 percent. Analysts also calculated that this year in the Ulyanovsk region only 68 eggs were received from each laying hen. A year earlier, each Ulyanovsk hen in the same time brought 84 eggs.
The Ministry of Agro-Industrial Complex could not promptly comment on the reasons for the fall in egg production - on Monday, the entire press service, consisting of three people, quit the department. Now Yulia Shulepova, a former PR specialist for the Volga hockey and football club, is engaged in information support for the department.
