Over the five months of 2021, the number of cattle in the farms of Udmurtia increased by 64% - up to 2.51 thousand units.

The press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic specified that the number of beef cows increased by 771 (+50%). As of June 1, there are 1.11 thousand highly productive animals in the broodstock.

This year, 33 farms are engaged in beef cattle breeding in Udmurtia - there are 10 more of them than in 2020. In January-May they received 295 calves of specialized breeds. The volume of beef production in the republic for five months amounted to 68.7 tons.
