Dmitry Biryuchenkov, Head of the Swine Disease Prevention Laboratory and PhD in Veterinary Sciences, presented a report on the "ResourceVac" vaccine, designed to prevent porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome. Studies have shown that immunization of animals can maintain immunity for up to six months, significantly longer than previously stated. Successful use of the vaccine by large agricultural holdings confirms its efficacy and safety. The possibility of amending the vaccine's instructions for use based on these data is already being discussed. Scientists at the All-Russian Research Institute of Animal Health are actively seeking collaboration with pig farms to develop customized anti-epidemic plans.
