The government of the Tyumen region has decided to allocate more than 1 billion rubles to the Borovskaya poultry farm, which suffered last year due to highly pathogenic avian influenza, Governor Alexander Moor said, speaking on Thursday to the deputies of the regional Duma with a report on the work of the regional government.

“A decision has been made on the phased allocation of funds in the amount of 1 billion 92 million rubles,” the governor said.

In particular, the poultry farm will receive 322 million rubles this year, and the rest in 2023. Moor also noted that to date the company has already received 122 million rubles and has begun to implement a plan for the phased restoration of livestock.

“By December 2022, all poultry houses are planned to be filled,” he added.

As reported, in October 2021, Alexander Moor signed a decree on the introduction of quarantine for bird flu on the territory of the Borovskaya poultry farm, it was decided to destroy all the livestock. The expenses of the poultry farm for the fight against the focus of highly pathogenic avian influenza last year exceeded 1.4 billion rubles. Thus, the poultry farm utilized 4.313 million birds worth more than 1 billion rubles and poultry products worth 182 million rubles.

At the end of March 2022, the authorities of the region reported that the poultry farm began to restore the livestock. It plans to produce 223 million eggs this year and 743 million in 2023. Prior to the outbreak, the poultry farm was producing over 1 billion eggs a year.
