The slaughterhouse that supplies poultry MEAT for the Altai Broiler brand is back in operation. The restoration of the enterprise, where a major fire broke out in July, took almost three months, however, as the owners promised, work began here in October.

In addition to work at the site of the fire, modernization was also underway in the Zonal District, where new poultry houses are being built.

Because of the incident, the company did not abandon plans to expand production. The regional government has high hopes for this.

Today, about 30 percent of poultry meat sold in the Altai Territory is imported from other regions.

By the way, this summer there was even a shortage of poultry for some time. For several weeks before adjusting to market changes, chicken refrigerators in stores stood empty. The reason was not only a fire at the Altai Broiler, but also the suspension of the Kochenevskaya Poultry Farm due to economic difficulties, as well as an outbreak of bird flu at other plants. At the same time, there was an increase in prices for products remaining on the market.

With an increase in capacity at local factories in the Altai Territory, they hope for stabilization of prices in the poultry meat market, since Altai producers themselves will be able to meet the needs of the region.

Already, the capacity of the restored Altai Broiler reaches 4,000 birds per hour. Within two or three months, the company hopes to reach the capacity that was before the fire - about 6 thousand heads. And in the next two years, almost double it, to 10,000 HEAD per hour. This will give 120 thousand tons of meat per year.
