The Rostov sausage factory "Tavr" of the Agrocom group officially announced an increase in selling prices for products from November 29, 2021.
According to Konstantin Tikhonov, HEAD of the trade department of Rostov-on-Don, the company has long been operating at the limit of its capabilities, holding back prices: this is due to a significant rise in the price of raw materials, spices and spices, other necessary ingredients and packaging materials.
According to the management’s forecast, in the fourth quarter of 2021 and January-March next year, the price of beef and pork used in MEAT processing will increase by 15% and 20%, respectively, poultry meat - by 15-24%, spices - by 30%. The provoking factor is the continuous rise in the price of grain. Accordingly, by the end of 2021, retail beef will grow by 46.5%, pork - by 50%, and chicken meat - by 78%. The price tags on the counters with sausage products will change proportionally.
The executive DIRECTOR of the Tavr group of companies, Alexander Remeta, specified that the prices for raw meat rose sharply in the summer of 2020. At the same time, the cost of raw materials is 85% of the cost of finished products. The head of the company added that in a year and a half, the commodity market has turned into a "buyer's market" into a "seller's market": manufacturers hold tenders to sell goods on more or less favorable terms.
At the end of 2020, Tavra's revenue fell to 5.7 billion rubles (-843 million rubles) against the backdrop of an increase in profits to 7.7 million rubles (+1.6 million rubles).
