Tambov livestock farms are provided with feed in excess of their needs

Tambov agricultural enterprises and peasant (farming) farms engaged in cattle breeding are currently fully provided with all the necessary types of feed, the press service of the regional government reported.

Thus, according to the information of the Department of Agriculture of the region, cattle breeders have stocks of rough and succulent fodder in the amount of more than 47 tons, which is 73% more than the need. Concentrated feed in the farms is also more than necessary - 28 thousand tons.

The winter-stall period in animal husbandry in the region is going well. The forage base of the farms meets the needs.

The favorable situation in this area allows us to solve the tasks set to increase livestock production in 2022.

It should be noted that 29 agricultural enterprises, more than 150 peasant (farmer) households, as well as personal farmsteads are engaged in dairy and beef cattle breeding in the region.
