According to the results of an inspection conducted by the Severomorsk Interregional Administration of ROSSELKHOZNADZOR , as of December 1, 2024 , 12 out of 24 cattle burial grounds in the region did not have specific owners, and 8 biothermal pits lost their balance-holding organizations, which effectively made them ownerless.

Due to violations of the physical protection of these objects, Rosselkhoznadzor sent an appeal to the prosecutor's office with a request to take action. The Onega District COURT ordered the Veterinary Inspectorate and the Ministry of Property Relations of the region to register the cattle burial ground as the property of the Arkhangelsk Region within a year from the date of entry into force of the decision. This is not the first such court decision on this issue: earlier, in March 2025, a similar decision was made for another cattle burial ground in the Kholmogorsk District.
