The Saratov assets of KoPitania Group of Companies, previously owned by Mikhail Abyzov, are put up for sale.

The current owners of a large MEAT processing holding are looking for a buyer for all their production facilities at once - pig farms, poultry farms and meat processing plants. The presentation for buyers was prepared by Rosselkhozbank, which became the exclusive financial advisor on the deal.

The deal is expected to close early next year. KoPitania includes enterprises in the Volgograd, Saratov and Tver regions.

The main contender for the Saratov enterprises - pig-breeding complexes and a meat-packing plant, is called the Resurs GAP , a Stavropol businessman Viktor Nauruzov. This group has already bought a number of meat processing enterprises in the region, including in the Engels district, where the main enterprises of KoPitania are located.

KoPitania has been present in the Saratov region since 2009, when LLC Khvalynsky Pig Complex was established . Now in the Khvalynsky district he has a breeding reproducer for 500 sows, and in the Engelssky district he has the main complex, slaughter facilities and a meat processing plant.

In 2012, KoPitania took out a loan of 830 million rubles from the Russian Agricultural Bank for its pig farm. The complex was launched in 2013. In 2016, KoPitania announced a new investment project in the Khvalynsky district - a pig slaughter and meat processing workshop with a capacity of 60 heads per hour. The volume of investments was to be 400 million rubles, the commissioning of the workshop was planned for 2020.

Already in 2018, KoPitania announced that it would expand its slaughter capacity. The new complex was already announced in the Engels district, with a capacity twice as large as the Khvalynsky one - 120 pigs per hour plus a deboning and meat processing line. The declared volume of investments is 1.2 billion rubles. Now the capacity of the entire pig farm is 83 thousand commercial pigs per year.

In 2020, Khvalynsky Pig Complex became the founder of Novopushkinsky Meat Processing Plant LLC, where it owns 99%, and another 1% is held by the Cossack Holding Company JSC Krasnodonskoye, whose owner is the same KoPitania. The meat processing plant was put into operation in the same year, its design capacity is 21 thousand tons of products per year. The enterprise supplies meat and semi-finished products to 5 regions.

The co-owner of the meat processing plant Krasnodonskoye JSC is a pig farm in the Rostov region. The total production capacity, together with the Zavolzhskoye  stud farm and the Khvalynsky pig farm, is 61,000 tons of pork per year.

Meat is processed at the Zavolzhsky meat-packing plant in the Tver region, its capacity is 2 thousand tons of products per year, mainly semi-finished products. Poultry breeding is carried out by Krasnodonskaya Poultry Farm JSC, designed for the simultaneous maintenance of 1.2 million broilers. The company's products are sold under the brands "LAVLA" and "Ilovlinskie chickens".

According to the HEAD of the National Union of Pig Breeders Yuri Kovalev, the most interesting assets of KoPitania now are Saratov, but it would be more profitable to sell production, he explained, separately, since this is too heterogeneous an asset. Previously, the company sold its pig farms in Siberia in the same way, in 2019 they were bought by the Sibagro group.

The interest in the Saratov assets of GAP Resurs, which sources point to, is quite understandable. Since the beginning of the year, the agrogroup has been actively expanding into the region. To date, she has bought out  the Mikhailovskaya  poultry farm near Saratov and the Bazarnokarabulak dairy plant, meat processing plants in the Engels district, owned by the Integra company - MK Agrotek and MK Rodina. In June, the holding added Regionekoprodukt-Povolzhye LLC, a Saratov meat processing plant producing products under the popular Family Sausages brand, to them .

Mikhail Abyzov was the chairman of the board of directors of the Ru-Com group, which owned KoPitania, until 2012, until he left for the civil service as Minister for Open Government. In 2019, Abyzov was arrested on fraud charges. Ru-Com LLC withdrew from KoPitania in 2015.

Shortly before the current announcement of the sale of enterprises, there were serious changes in the structure of KoPitania's owners. In 2020, in January, a new founder, Magomed-emi Denilkhanov, comes to the company. General DIRECTOR Sergei Yusufov, who previously left his senior position, is leaving the company, where he owned 5%. In February, the Cypriot offshore "Anostal Commercial LTD" appears in the structure.

In July 2021, the main beneficiary of the company, the former CEO of Ru-Com Alexander Rogozhin, who accounted for a 95% share, also goes out of business. Following him comes a new offshore - "Conspicuum Limited", but already in October it disappears. Now, according to the Kartoteka portal, the authorized capital of KoPitania is 2.4 billion rubles. Of this amount, 66.38% is KoPitania's own share, 10.35% is owned by Magomed-ami Denilkhanov and 23.27% is owned by the Cypriot company Anostal Commercial LTD. LLC revenue for 2020 fell from 61.6 million to 34.7 million rubles. Khvalynsky Pig Complex received 884.3 million rubles in revenue in 2020, Novopushkinsky Meat Processing Plant - 636.3 million.
