According to the data of the regional body of the Federal State Statistics Service (Pskovstat) at the beginning of November, the number of cows in the Pskov region decreased by 7.6% - to 30.5 thousand heads.

The total number of cattle herds in the Pskov region decreased by 6.4% compared to 2020, to 62.1 thousand heads.

In addition, as of November 1, 2021, 1,404.2 thousand pigs were kept in farms of all forms of ownership, which is 0.9% less than last year. The number of sheep and goats from local farmers and owners of personal subsidiary plots decreased by 1.5 % - up to 31.8 thousand heads.
