US: Hog Market Review 31 Weeks Ending August 4, 2025

Lean hog futures rose 22 cents to 62 cents across all contracts Friday, while the August contract was still down $1.35 this week. The USDA National Benchmark Pork Price was down $2.76 from the previous day at $108.91 Friday afternoon. The CME Lean Hog Index was down 14 cents at $110.37 on July 30.

The USDA reported FOB pork at $116.94 per hundredweight (carcass weight). Only premium hams were down, while brisket was up $8.72. The USDA estimated hog slaughter at 2.336 million HEAD, up 6,000 head from last week but down 6,879 head from the same week last year.
