US Hog Market Review Week 26, June 30, 2025

Traders were also awaiting the USDA's quarterly Hogs and Pigs report , which they expect to show fewer hogs than in the same period last year.  

But NASS's quarterly Hogs & Pigs report showed all hog inventories up 0.33% in early June to 75.137 million HEAD. That beat analyst estimates of a 0.4% drop from a year ago. Market hogs were up 0.4%, while breeding hogs were down 0.48%. March-May farrowings were down 0.45% to 2.907 million head. March-May hog harvest was up 1.27% year over year to 34.171 million head.
