USA: Pork market review for week 23 from June 10, 2024

The national hog carcass value, according to the US Department of Agriculture , increased $0.22 to $100.91. The USDA estimated the federally inspected hog slaughter on Friday at 466,000 head, for a total of 2.422 million head, including Saturday's estimate of 40,000 head. For comparison: a year ago there were 2.354 million heads.
