USA: Week 22 Pig Market Review 2021

As of June 4, 2021, the USDA reports that the average cost of pork products in the US market has increased by $1.11. Over the past week, there was a decline in prices only for ham ($1.8) and a picnic ($2.69).

Retail MEAT prices in the US are expected to rise both due to the summer period and due to a cyber attack on JBS. However, prices will rise mainly due to rising demand.

Demand for meat is growing due to both retail buyers and catering establishments, as well as importers of American meat. Despite the fact that vegan dishes and artificial meat are gaining more and more popularity in the world, most people still prefer natural meat. The USDA in its latest report showed very good meat sales as of July 4, 2021. High prices did not dampen buyer demand or deter large orders from both US buyers and EXPORT customers.
