USA: Cattle market review for week 9 of March 4, 2024

USDA block - packed beef prices Friday afternoon were $305.28 for Choice and $295.74 for Select beef. These increases were $1.08 and $1.56, respectively. The USDA reported that year-to-date cattle slaughter is 5.3% behind last year.
