US Cattle Market Outlook for Week 46, November 17, 2025

According to the exchange, daily limits were expanded on Friday to 13.750 cents for feeder cattle futures and 10.750 cents for live cattle. Traders reported that cattle were trading thinly in the Kansas and Texas cash markets at $228 per hundredweight, down $2-4 from last week.

Meanwhile, the stock market's plunge last week also raised concerns about consumer demand for beef .

"The question remains: Are we in a cyclical bear market?" said Don Roose, president of US Commodities.

Traders continue to monitor the screwworm outbreak in Mexico. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced the opening of a sterile fly control facility in Tampico, Mexico, as part of efforts to eradicate the pest by reducing the wild population of parasitic flies.
