USA: Week 33 2021 Cattle Market Overview

The cost of Choice MEAT in the US market increased by $3.43 in a week, the price of Select beef added $2.12. Choice/Select price leverage dropped to $26.53.

In the summer of 2021, the demand for beef has risen sharply, keeping prices high. And while outside US beef sales are disappointing, exports continue to rise. US beef net sales of 11,100 metric tons (MT) were down 18% from the previous week and 42% from the previous four weeks' average. A decrease in supplies was noted for Japan (2800 tons, - 400 tons), SOUTH KOREA (2800 tons, - 400 tons), CHINA (1800 tons, - 300 tons), Taiwan (900 tons, - 100 tons) and Mexico (600 tons). , -100 tons), although shipments to Colombia increased slightly (100 tons).
