Senegal has lifted its poultry export ban , opening its market to U.S. processed poultry exports in response to commitments from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Poultry and Egg Export Council (USAPEEC), according to a recent market report from the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service. USAPEEC estimates that U.S. poultry exports to Senegal could reach $21 million, and the broader French-speaking West Africa region has significant potential for U.S. agricultural exports.
