USA: Broiler market overview for week 33 of 2023

Average prices for chicken cutting showed positive dynamics, with a noticeable increase in prices for all items.

The 2023 U.S. poultry production forecast was lowered from last month due to lower broiler production forecasts. Broiler production is declining due to lower expected egg production and continued relatively low hatchability. Egg production is lower as hatchery data showed lower flock productivity than previously expected and slower laying hen additions. For 2024, the poultry production forecast has been raised by higher turkey production, which will more than offset the decline in broiler production.
