USA: Week 30 Broiler Market Review 2022

Average broiler prices in the US market continue to trend down. For the week, the price tag lost 5.7%, sales for the week decreased by 1.6%.

US broiler production forecast for 2022 is down by 25 million pounds. Broiler EXPORT expectations for 2022 have been raised. USDA forecasts for both production and exports in 2023 have not changed. The mid-year broiler price forecast for 2022 has been lowered to 152.9 cents per pound. The table egg production forecast for 2022 has been revised upwards based on the latest production numbers. Following a recent price spike, egg price forecasts for the next four quarters are being revised upwards.

Turkey production forecasts for 2022 have been raised slightly due to an increase in the number of turkey poults. The production forecast for 2023 has not changed. Turkey export forecast for 2022 raised by 15 million pounds. Import expectations for 2022 are also raised.
