USA: Broiler market review for week 29 2023

Average prices for chicken cuts showed negative dynamics, which was mainly influenced by the fall in the price of wings. 

Estimated broiler production for the second quarter of 2023 has been adjusted upward based on the latest data, while forecasts for all subsequent quarters are unchanged. The broiler EXPORT forecast was also unchanged, while the import forecast increased, reflecting current trade policies allowing some shipments from Chile.

According to the latest data, broiler prices in 2023 have been adjusted downwards. The 2023 table egg production forecast is increased by 5 million dozen to reflect stronger-than-expected egg stock data in May.

The forecast for average wholesale egg prices for 2023 has been adjusted to reflect sales data for the second quarter. Exports of eggs and egg products are adjusted due to improved production to meet strong international demand.

The 2023 turkey production forecast has been adjusted to reflect recent production data and strong hatchery performance. Turkey MEAT exports are projected to rise due to increased production, and imports are adjusted in line with current trade policies. Prices have been adjusted downward for 2023 and 2024 based on the latest production data.
