Egg production declines in the first quarter of 2024 due to a smaller laying flock. Egg prices have been adjusted downward based on the latest data, and projected imports and exports of eggs and egg products are unchanged from last month. Projected turkey production for the first half of 2024 has been adjusted downward based on the latest egg placement data, and projected exports have been adjusted slightly upward based on the latest trade data. Prices in the first quarter were adjusted upward.
