This follows from the amendments to the Federal Law “On Veterinary Medicine” approved by the President, writes “Veterinary Science and Life”. The changes are published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
As Tatyana Kolchanova, general DIRECTOR of the Union of Animal Business Enterprises, explained, earlier veterinary specialists who are engaged in pharmaceutical activities had to have higher, secondary veterinary or pharmaceutical education, as well as a specialist certificate. Now instead of this certificate it will be necessary to pass accreditation.
“Medics have long had accreditation instead of certification. You can get it at the "State Services" by answering test tasks of 80 questions. If 70% of the answers are correct, doctors receive accreditation. This has not happened in veterinary medicine yet,” Tatiana Kolchanova explained.
It is not yet clear how the accreditation of veterinary specialists will take place. A decision on this matter will be prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture later . This document will be issued every 5 years.
