Over time, rabbit meat can compete with chicken meat

Director of the Institute for Social and Economic Research of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation Alexei Zubets did not rule out the formation of a fashion for rabbit meat.

It is worth noting that Zubets described rabbit and chicken as "meat for the poor". He noted that the consumption of turkey in Russia is developing according to the same laws as the consumption of chicken meat, while the popularity of rabbit meat is still low in our country.

The expert said that there is no fashion for inexpensive rabbit meat in Russia yet. If one appears, then it will stand on a par with chicken meat, the most affordable for low-income segments of the population, and prices for rabbit meat will be formed according to the same laws.

According to some forecasts, the production of rabbits of meat breeds in Russia by 2022 will increase six times. True, the question arises as to how the fashion for rabbit meat will be associated with the fashion for poverty.
