Key livestock production indicators also showed a decline. Specifically, meat production decreased by 4%, reaching 313,000 tons, while milk production fell by 10.5%, reaching 852,600 tons. The number of cows fell to 237,600, while the number of pigs fell by 6%, reaching 305,100. The decline in livestock numbers is due to high animal husbandry costs, rising feed and veterinary drug prices, and economic instability.
