"Sibagro" is a laureate of the "Leaders of Artificial Intelligence" award

Sibagro has created a monitoring system based on computer vision, which monitors the development of piglets, the condition and behavior of animals. The use of artificial intelligence minimizes direct contact between staff and pigs and ensures prompt response from employees at the slightest sign of trouble.

The cameras record how many times the animal approaches the feeder, how active it is and whether it is gaining weight. In case of deviations from the norm, the system diagnoses the cause, places a virtual mark on a specific individual and transmits a signal to the veterinary service.

Sberbank became the financial partner of the Sibagro project. In the future, with his support, it is planned to develop a convenient video analytics service that will contribute to the digital transformation of pig farming.

Executive DIRECTOR of Sibagro Vitaly Pavlyuk noted that now a group of information technology specialists are at the very beginning of their journey, but clearly see the huge potential of digitalization. According to forecasts, artificial intelligence will increase production efficiency, which will lead to a reduction in the cost of growing and fattening pigs.

The implementation of the project will begin in December at the Tomsk pig farm “Sibagro”. After analyzing the results, the developers will replicate the system in other departments.
