“More than a dozen areas are working in the region to support the development of agricultural cooperation. One of the popular measures is subsidies to cooperatives under the national project. This is the sixth year the event has been implemented in the region, and the number of applicants is gradually growing. Some cooperatives, seeing the advantages of government assistance, apply for reimbursement of part of the costs several times a year and receive financing. The most popular direction is for the purchase of machinery and equipment. The register of agricultural entities applying for state support includes 63 agricultural cooperatives. Over five years, less than a third of them received subsidies. The reserve is large, first of all we are waiting for applications from newcomers,” - Minister of Agriculture of the region Ilya Vasiliev.
The Klever agricultural cooperative in the Karatuz district received state support several times. In 2022 and 2023, he was reimbursed a portion of the costs for the trucks he purchased. Reliable transport is essential for transporting milk.
“We purchase milk from owners of private farmsteads , which we then process in our own workshop. We produce sour cream, kefir , yogurt, cottage cheese, butter and other dairy products. We provide kindergartens and schools in the region with natural products, and sell some to stores. Demand is good, we plan to open two branded outlets in Minusinsk and Abakan. To do this, it is necessary to increase production volume. This year we expect to participate in the selection - we want to update the milk tanker, buy additional equipment to expand the line of yoghurts. Government support is a great help, without it we could hardly work. In addition to the event that is taking place under the national project, we successfully participate in other areas of state support,” says Galina Grudtsina, chairman of the Klever agricultural cooperative.
Mandatory conditions for receiving subsidies are inclusion in the register of subjects of the region's agro-industrial complex, registration and activity in rural areas, and absence of debts to the budget.
Thanks to state support from the federal and regional budgets, over the past five years, almost two thousand new members have entered the agricultural cooperatives of the region, most of them are owners of personal subsidiary plots.
