Saratov farmer creates an ecosystem with cows and cherry orchards

The private farm of the head of the peasant farm Saidalvi Makhmaliev specializes in dairy farming and is a supplier of high-quality milk for one of the largest dairy producers in the Saratov region. This year, the exemplary work of farmers was noted at the Russian agro-industrial exhibition “Golden Autumn - 2023” with a diploma and a bronze medal in the category “Effective Grantee Project” of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture competition “Best Entrepreneurial Initiative in the Agro-Industrial Complex” for high performance in livestock production.

The farm was founded in 2006, and in 2015 they were given the first grant for the construction of a modern livestock farm with conditions for free housing of cows, the purchase of young animals and the necessary equipment for milking. Also, using their own funds, farmers built a livestock complex .

Further, in 2022, the head of the peasant farm Saidalvi Makhmalieva submitted a project for further development to the Ministry of Agriculture, took part in the competition for grantees and won. 

As part of the project, heifers were purchased in the Balashovsky and Rivne regions, it is planned to build additional livestock buildings, purchase agricultural machinery and equipment, and develop the meat sector.

In addition to developing the livestock business, Saidalvi Makhmaliev’s farm also grows vegetables and has its own vegetable storage. 

Now farmers are preparing plots to create apple and cherry orchards, where, using organic fertilizers and other modern agricultural practices on healthy and fertile soil, they will soon harvest a tasty, environmentally friendly and healthy harvest.
