Raw milk and meat were sold from a Tyumen university farm without veterinary examination

The inspection of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "GAU of the Northern Trans-Urals" was initiated at the end of February 2024 by the Tyumen Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office with the participation of employees of the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR Office for the Tyumen Region, Yamalo-Nenets and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug.

During the inspection visit to the enterprise, the fact of the presence of postpartum placenta in the manure trench and on the farm roads, and the absence of a special container for collecting biowaste in the maternity ward was recorded. Livestock slaughter was carried out on the farm without equipped premises. Livestock MEAT was sold without veterinary and sanitary examinations.

Violations were also made during the storage of animal corpses - they were stored in bulk and there were no containers.

The farm of the educational institution does not have a room or area for processing vehicles for disinfection purposes or disinfection barriers. The territory of the enterprise is not fenced off from unauthorized persons, and production areas are also not isolated from each other.

A certificate based on the results of the inspection was sent to the Prosecutor's Office of the Tyumen Region and the Tyumen Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office.
