RSHB: since 2014, Russia has increased beef exports almost 16 times

For many years now, beef has occupied a confident third place in terms of consumption in the Russian “meat basket,” second only to pork and chicken. In the last 5 years, there have been 13-15 kg of beef per person per year, which is up to 18-19% of the total volume of MEAT eaten per year.

Beef production in RUSSIA is stable and has dropped below 1.6 million tons only twice over the past 10 years. Now it is growing at a slow pace, mainly due to large holdings. On the shelves of Russian stores you can find beef from more than 10 countries, including fraternal Belarus and friendly countries of South America: Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina.
