Among the significant changes in the industry, there is a decrease in production in categories such as butter (-1.4%, to 331 thousand tons), bread (-2.7%, to 4.9 million tons), and SUGAR (-0.2%, to 6.6 million tons). At the same time, production growth was noted in key segments: dairy products demonstrated an increase of 5.1% (to 6 million tons), sour MILK +3.7% (to 2.2 million tons), cheeses +5.1% (to 841 thousand tons) andcottage cheese +5% (up to 475 thousand tons).
There was also growth in MEAT production: beef , pork and lamb increased by 1.8% (to 3.8 million tons), while the volume of unfinished poultry meat remained at 5.2 million tons. There was also an increase in the production of semi-finished products (+4.7%, to 4.9 million tons) and sunflower oil (+11.7%, to 8 million tons).
At present, the market remains under pressure from strong domestic competitors, and growing exports are mainly possible in the vegetable oil and compound feed segments. However, climate change and rising costs may slow down further production growth. Domestic demand is also increasingly shifting towards processed products, indicating the growing popularity of semi-finished and finished meat products.
