The dairy production sector also remains stable: 585.2 thousand tons of raw milk and 816.4 million eggs were produced in 2024 , which is 1.8% more than in 2023. These figures highlight the important role of the Omsk region in the agricultural sector of Russia.
By the end of 2024, 355.6 thousand pigs were registered in the region, which is an increase of 0.2% compared to the previous year, and the cattle population reached 293.6 thousand heads, including 127.4 thousand cows. Significant successes were also recorded in poultry farming - the poultry population increased by 17%, amounting to 6,633.7 thousand heads.
Despite the positive results, agricultural producers in the region will have to cope with a number of challenges, including the need to implement modern technologies and increase resilience to external economic factors. Given these trends and challenges, Omsk Region has every chance of becoming a leader in Russian agriculture in the future.
