Growth in meat production in Kazakhstan in July 2024

Reasons for the increase in MEAT production

Several factors contributed to the increase in meat production in Kazakhstan. First, improved agricultural conditions, including access to modern technology and finance, have had a positive impact on productivity. Second, government support for the agricultural sector, including subsidies for farmers and programs to improve livestock genetics, has played a key role in improving the quality and quantity of meat produced.

Comparison with other products

it is interesting to note that while meat production showed an increase, other agricultural products showed different trends. For example, the production of processed liquid MILK and cream decreased by 3.9%, amounting to 50.4 thousand tons. This decrease may be due to seasonal fluctuations and changes in demand. FLOUR production also decreased by 4.6%, amounting to 223 thousand tons, which may indicate problems with the grain harvest or changes in consumer preferences.

On the other hand, bread production increased by 1.3%, reaching 41 thousand tons, which may be due to increased demand for this product amid economic growth and changing consumer habits. However, the most noticeable was the sharp drop in cereal production, which decreased by 57.2% to 7.7 thousand tons. This may be due to changes in agronomic conditions or lack of attention to this crop on the part of farmers.

Prospects and challenges

Despite the positive dynamics in meat production, Kazakhstan faces a number of challenges. One of them is the need to increase competitiveness in international markets. This requires improving product quality, introducing modern processing and packaging technologies, as well as developing EXPORT infrastructure.

In addition, attention must be paid to sustainability issues, including environmental protection and animal welfare. This is especially important in the context of global climate change, which may affect agriculture as a whole.
