The growth of agricultural production in the Ivanovo region amounted to 21%

“We have growth in agriculture. If you look at 5 years, we have a growth of 21%. But the potential is huge, the more we see, frankly speaking, what is happening in the world agricultural market, and we see the agriculture of our region as one of the most promising industries, despite the fact that in Soviet times this climatic zone was called the zone of risky farming. But now we are seeing both growth in MEAT and crop growth in five years," said Stanislav Voskresensky.

According to the governor, more than 100 new farmers have appeared in the region in 5 years. MILK yield increased by 15%, farms became more efficient. Voskresensky noted that the agro-industrial complex can become one of the important industries in the region.

According to the press service of the government of the Ivanovo region, the production index in agricultural organizations and farms in 2022 compared to 2021 was 108.6%. Gross agricultural output amounted to 23.9 billion rubles, which is 6.2% higher than in 2021.
