Growing beef supplies from Brazil to Russia: statistics and trends for 2023-2024

In the period from January to November 2024, shipments reached 62.07 thousand tons, an increase of 31.2% compared to the same period in 2023. The share of Brazilian beef in total imports was 51.7%.

The average cost of beef imported from Brazil to Russia in 2023 was USD 3,716 per ton, which is 13.1% lower than a year earlier. In rubles, prices increased by 14.7%, reaching RUB 322,576/t. In January-November 2024, the price was USD 3,863/t, an increase of 3.7% compared to the same period in 2023. In ruble equivalent, the average cost reached RUB 352,651/t, which is 9.3% more than last year.

In November 2024, imported beef cost an average of USD 4,149/t, an increase of 20.4% compared to November 2023. In rubles, the price increased by 34.1%, reaching RUB 417,740/t.
