Expanding the categories of recipients of subsidies
In order to ensure the financial stability of farmers in the Irkutsk region, a decision was made to expand the categories of recipients of subsidies from the regional budget. Now the list includes not only producers engaged in the cultivation of grain and vegetables, but also enterprises working in the fields of poultry and pig farming. This decision was an important step to support local producers who are faced with increasing costs for feed, electricity and other resources.
Objectives and conditions for providing subsidies
Subsidies are provided for the technical modernization of enterprises, which will allow farmers to update equipment, improve production processes and, as a result, increase efficiency. This is especially important in conditions when competition in the market is intensifying and product quality requirements
are growing. The selection for subsidies will end on September 25, but more than 900 agricultural producers have already submitted applications. This indicates a high interest in the program and the need for government support. If the subsidy limits for the current year are not exhausted, the regional Ministry of Agriculture is ready to hold additional selections in October, which will allow even more farmers to receive assistance.
Impact on the market and consumers
it is expected that the support measures will help not only the producers themselves, but will also affect the market as a whole. Subsidies can help reduce prices for pork, poultry and eggs , which, in turn, will have a positive impact on consumers. Stabilizing prices for basic food products is an important task, especially in conditions of economic uncertainty.
