Rosstat: Weekly inflation in Russia slowed to 0.99%

Inflation in Russia for the period from March 26 to April 1 amounted to 0.99%, follows from Rosstat data. A week earlier, inflation in Russia was at the level of 1.16%.

Since the beginning of April, consumer prices have increased by 0.14%, since the beginning of the year - by 9.99%. In annual terms, inflation as of April 1, 2022 (according to calculations using average daily data for this and last year on similar dates) was 9.28%.

During the reporting period, according to Rosstat, in the category of food products, prices for chocolates increased most significantly - by 2.8%, margarine - by 2.6%, biscuits - by 2.4%, chicken meat - by 2.2% , black tea - by 1.9%, buckwheat, pasta, vermicelli - by 1.8%, wheat flour - by 1.6%, sterilized milk, sour cream, millet - by 1.4%, butter, lunches in the canteen, cafe, snack bar (except for the canteen in the organization) - by 1.3%, sunflower oil, cottage cheese - by 1.2%, beef, frozen fish, pasteurized milk, chicken eggs - by 1.1%, canned meat for baby food, bread and bakery products made from wheat flour of various varieties - by 1%, sausages, sausages, rennet cheeses, fruit and berry canned food for baby food - by 0, 9%, semi-smoked and boiled-smoked sausages, canned vegetables for baby food, rye bread - by 0.8%, pork, boiled sausages - by 0.6%, powdered milk formulas for baby food - by 0.3%, lamb , vodka - by 0.2%.

Granulated sugar on average in Russia has risen in price by 5.1%, polished rice - by 3.1%, table salt - by 2.5%.
