Russia imposes temporary ban on EU agricultural imports

The HEAD of the department, Sergey Dankvert, in his speech at the Second Forum of Dairy Industry Leaders emphasized that a possible easing of restrictions would depend on the results of the situation analysis. The main reason for the ban was the outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in Germany, which raises serious concerns about the safety of imports.
ROSSELKHOZNADZOR noted that the easing of the ban is possible only after conducting the necessary checks for compliance with biological safety standards in order to eliminate the risks of importing contaminated products into RUSSIA.
