Russia in 2023 increased supplies of agricultural products to India by almost 40%

India mainly purchased sunflower oil from RUSSIA last year  , with supplies rising by a third to $1.05 billion. The supply of soybean oil also increased significantly - 1.8 times, to $187 million. The supply of beans unexpectedly increased by 78 times, to $34 million.

The remaining products were supplied for $20 million. Last November, India resumed purchasing Russian pork after a hiatus of three and a half years. Also last year, they began purchasing peanuts and some types of grain for the first time.

Over the past two years, Russia has managed to redirect supplies; now 90% of all agricultural products are sent to friendly countries, reported the HEAD of the Ministry of Agriculture, Dmitry Patrushev.
