Patrushev recalled that the agro-industrial complex faces an ambitious goal: to significantly increase production volumes by 2030. MEAT production is expected to grow to nearly 20 million tons, and MILK volumes will exceed 38 million tons. Ensuring epizootic safety is key to achieving these goals, which requires systematic work at all levels.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that thanks to the efforts of ROSSELKHOZNADZOR , including the active implementation of digital monitoring tools, RUSSIA has achieved a level of veterinary welfare oversight considered among the best in the world. Despite the challenging epizootic situation globally, a stable situation has been maintained in our country in 2025: no cases of African swine fever or avian influenza have been recorded.

The meeting also discussed preventative measures to prevent animal diseases in the wild. Patrushev ordered increased monitoring of the movement of animals and products by all modes of transport, as well as enhanced infection prevention measures in the regions.
